Basketball Pep Band
The Cardinal Basketball Pep Band is a select ensemble that provides additional performance opportunities for Lamar's advanced wind and rhythm section players at ÃÛÌÒAPP.
The pep band performs at all of the Lamar men’s and women’s home basketball games, as well as Conference and NCAA tournament games.
The band's instrumentation includes trumpets, trombones, saxophones, tubas, drums, electric bass guitar, and electric guitar. Members earn an additional monetary scholarship for participation.
Audition Information
Auditions for the Basketball Pep Band are typically held each October. Those who are interested in participating, who are not already in one of the ÃÛÌÒAPP Bands, should email Dr. McMahan. (Messages received on this topic will be held and a reply not provided until the audition information is ready and available.)
