ÃÛÌÒAPP and Lamar State College Orange partner to offer leadership degree pathway

ÃÛÌÒAPP and Lamar State College Orange (LSCO) have announced a new partnership aimed at expanding leadership education opportunities for LSCO students. The collaboration brings leadership courses directly to the LSCO campus, offering Orange County and surrounding area students a seamless pathway to continue their education at ÃÛÌÒAPP.Pres. Johnson and Pres. Taylor

This partnership allows LSCO students to take advanced leadership courses at their local campus, with the coursework counting toward a ÃÛÌÒAPP bachelor’s degree in leadership, pending approval from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).

LSCO President Tom Johnson expressed his pride in the partnership and his deep ties to the region, saying, “I’m so pleased that this is happening. The Golden Triangle is my home. I was born just down the road, about 15 miles away, and my family’s been here for generations. Lamar has meant so much to the families, industries, workers, and business people in our community. When they come to our town, they see what our college and university stand for: hard work and the opportunity to go as far as you want in life.”
